This device is designed based on the principle of gravity separation. Oily wastewater enters the separation chamber, and due to the large wetted perimeter area of the coalescing element and low flow velocity, it aggregates into larger oil droplets that float up to the top oil collection chamber. Oil droplets containing small particles then sequentially enter the second and third coalescing devices. Because the coalescing element has a special polymerization function, the residual fine oil droplets coalesce into larger oil droplets and separate from the water, rising to the top oil collection chamber.
Overview
The LYSF type land-based oily wastewater treatment device is suitable for oily wastewater treatment in industries such as petroleum, chemical, machinery, steel, transportation, and docks. It handles mineral oils with a specific gravity of 0.84-0.93 but cannot separate oily wastewater in an emulsified state. The technical conditions of this device comply with the national standard GB12917-91 for oily wastewater separation devices. The oil content of the discharged water after treatment meets the comprehensive wastewater discharge standard GB8978-96.
Working Principle
Oily wastewater enters the separation chamber, and due to the large wetted perimeter area of the coalescing element and low flow velocity, it aggregates into larger oil droplets that float up to the top oil collection chamber. Oil droplets containing small particles then sequentially enter the second and third coalescing devices. Because the coalescing element has a special polymerization function, the residual fine oil droplets coalesce into larger oil droplets and separate from the water, rising to the top oil collection chamber. The clear water at the bottom is discharged through the outlet.
The oily sludge coalesced in the first and second-stage oil collection chambers is automatically discharged through the oil level detector, automatic oil discharge device, and oil discharge valve. The coalescing devices after the third stage belong to the fine separation system, with very little oily sludge, and manual periodic oil discharge is sufficient. To separate oily wastewater containing high-viscosity sludge and ensure smooth discharge from the sludge oil tank, electric heating devices are installed in the second-stage separation chamber and automatically controlled to maintain the temperature between 25°C and 50°C.
Automatic startup and shutdown are based on the oil wastewater level in the sewage tank. Users can request the configuration of a UGK-15 type float level controller for automatic operation. Users can also install an oil concentration meter as needed to automatically monitor whether the discharged water meets the discharge standards. When the standard is met, automatic discharge occurs without manual inspection.
